Our Facilities

Our facilities for indoor play

Our facilities are outstanding. Rooms are bright, open, spacious, welcoming, and full of exciting and fun, age-appropriate equipment. Everything your little one needs to feel safe, secure, and at home within their surroundings is found in our rooms.  All rooms are tailor-made to suit each specific age group. Children are entertained, engaged and challenged in a safe environment by a variety of equipment which caters for their every need. Large windows in each room, allow the children to look out and enjoy the variety of transport passing by.

Outdoor play

Each age group spends as much time as they can outside. At Beeches Park there are two secure garden spaces for specific age groups to enjoy. There is a large sand pit, mud kitchen, and plastic bottle greenhouse for the children to grow their own vegetables. A large open space is available for cars, bikes and scooters.

Urban Forest School

We have our on-site Urban Forest School an amazing stimulating learning experience. It allows all children to test themselves, build self-esteem and pride, develop new skills and learn the art of reflection. Experiences include den building, tying knots, whittling, construction, natural crafts, mini-beast hunts, identifying and sorting natural objects, natural mark-making and cooking on the fire.

Walks, Trips and Intergenerational Visits

We love to take peaceful walks down the canal, waving at canal boats as they pass by. Excitingly our electric minibus enables us to go further afield to libraries, museums, farms, Garden Centres, Conkers to name but a few. Not forgetting the regular Pre-school visits to the local elderly residential home.

Meals

Providing healthy, nutritious and delicious food is a huge priority to us. All our food is prepared fresh and on site each day by our nursery cook Zoe. Importantly we encourage children to try all kinds of food and use meal times as a fun opportunity for the children to develop social skills and manners. We encourage older children to serve themselves and be ‘special helpers’ giving out puddings and helping to tidy up. Our menu can be downloaded here.

Security

A secure keypad system protects the garden and nursery entrance. Only persons named at registration can collect children. Collection by other adults can be authorised, but this must be pre-organised and security details must be given. The nursery grounds are monitored by 24 hour CCTV surveillance.

Parking

We have our own private car park for parents and carers to drop off and collect their child safely.
